My entry to the audition for TheOC-pageantOfDA 's 2018 OC Pageant! I thought about entering last year, but held off. However, I thought it would be a good opportunity to practice drawing more of Oven Mother (since I'll have to draw her a lot if I ever make her comic). So here we go! 
*Name: Oven Mother
*Age: ~30
*Height: ~5 feet 2 inches
*Gender: Female
*Species and origin: Human (all humans 12 and older have some form of an object head in her world) / Originates from her currently unnamed, 1940s/retro inspired, idealized but corrupt country/world
*Personality: In her world, she was seen as basically being born to be what she is/was: a mother and a housewife. Therefore her personality was an embodiment of that kind of stereotype. However, she is also adaptable, strong, and determined, and during her story she finds herself changing in order to do what she has to do to protect her family.
*Relationships (family, friends, lovers etc.): She has 3 kids, who are triplets and around 10 years old (2 boys and 1 girl). Her husband died about a year before her story takes place. She has neighbors, but she has never gotten close to any of them beyond polite pleasantries.
*Hobbies and Occupation: She is a stay-at-home mother, living off the meager support of the government. There aren't many jobs open to women, and even if she could find one she would have a hard time leaving her children, in their delicate circumstances. / She has little time for hobbies, but she generally enjoys herself most when she is doing something fun with her children, to take their minds off their hardships. And she does enjoy baking, and in another life may have had her own bakery.
*Their usual/preferred style of clothing: 1940's inspired dresses and aprons - she is almost always wearing her apron. Her clothes are generally warm colors, but more muted.
YES, it is okay with me if someone else is drawing my character and makes them interact with other characters (granted that my OC is treated in a respectful manner)
*Likes: Baking, Playing with her kids, Taking walks, Taking care of her home and family and feeling useful
*Dislikes: Nosy neighbors, television, not being able to care for and protect her kids in the way she wants to
*Any other important details we all need to know about this OC (special abilities, strange obsessions etc.): Her toaster oven head DOES work! She usually uses it along with the normal oven in her kitchen when she is baking. Her toaster oven head is actually why she was believed to be 'born' to be a mother/housewife, because in her world, the object head a person gets at 12 years old is supposed to represent their personality and their role in society when they grow up. And because children literally only eat cookies, having a head that can bake cookies was seen as a sign she was going to be a good mother.
